Vallejo Police Rescue Domestic Violence Victim and Child; Suspect Cordell Shaw Faces Multiple Charges Including Kidnapping
On June 30, Vallejo police successfully extricated a domestic violence victim and her child from a perilous situation. Responding to an emergency call, the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) was informed that a woman was being forcibly held inside her Maher Court residence by armed suspect Cordell Shaw. According to the VPD statement posted on Facebook, Shaw had kidnapped the victim and had brandished a firearm, using both threats and physical violence to prevent her escape.

Our severe risk of wildfires requires that NO fireworks be set off except those used during officially sanctioned events. During the Fourth of July celebration, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department will be strictly enforcing the ban on all fireworks, including sparklers, within the unincorporated areas of the county. If you are found using any type of fireworks, you can be arrested and you may be fined, sentenced to jail or both.
