#DestinationNutley - Fourth of July, Fireworks, and Food

NUTLEY, NJ - Today means three things in Nutley: Fourth of July, fireworks, and food.

After gorging on food from the grill all day, head to the Nutley Park Oval at 6 p.m. for the township's annual fireworks show.

Fireworks begin after dark, somewhere closer to 8:30 p.m., but before that there is a dance party featuring DJMC Entertainment.

Some of Nutley's favorite food destinations will remain open tonight to serve the local celebrants.

Cuppily, at the corner of Franklin Ave. and Chestnut St. will be open serving both hot and iced drinks.

Ochado, on Franklin Ave. across from William St., has a wide range of bubble tea including fruit flavors.

At Jernick's across from Nutley High School, Adam will have his full menu available. He told TAPinto Nutley that when he attended local events with "Spanky's Gourmet Burgers" truck, fries were the most popular item sold. Grab some garlic Parmesan fries for the fireworks show, but before that enjoy a burger of sandwich.

The new unofficial TAPinto Nutley favorite sandwich is the "Roy Boy." Picture it, shaved beef, au jus, melted American cheese, tomato, onion, cowboy sauce and horseradish. It was the horseradish that did it for us. On our recent visit, we had a special version with bleu cheese instead of American. Chances are, at least one member of the TAPinto Nutley team will have a Roy Boy during the celebration.
