SOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens — A 70-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a confrontation with his daughter in his South Ozone Park home on Wednesday morning, police and law enforcement sources reported.

Authorities responded to the incident around 7:15 a.m. at a residence on 109th Avenue, where they discovered Peter Cavak suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to the NYPD. Despite efforts to save him, Cavak was pronounced dead at the scene. The call to 911 was made by Cavak’s wife, police said.

The victim’s daughter was taken into custody; however, she has not yet been charged, according to a police source. The medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
