    QUEENS, N.Y. (NYPD) – A teenager was injured while engaging in subway surfing on a southbound No. 7 train near Roosevelt Avenue and 111th Street in Queens on Sunday, according to sources from the NYPD.

    Witnesses recounted to police that they observed a group of teenagers, including a 14-year-old boy, engaging in the dangerous activity of subway surfing. The teenager in question reportedly lost his balance and collided with a beam, resulting in him losing consciousness briefly. Concerned bystanders immediately alerted emergency services, who swiftly arrived at the scene and transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst for medical attention. Authorities confirmed the teenager's injuries were attended to at the hospital.

    Sources familiar with the investigation disclosed that three of the teenager's friends, who were present during the incident, admitted to participating in subway surfing as well. Subway surfing involves riding on the exterior of a subway car, posing significant risks to the individuals involved and potentially disrupting subway operations.
