WWE Bash in Berlin: Who’s Coming Out on Top This Weekend?Photo bywwe.com

    Quick Pick Predictions

    WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships:
Winners: The Unholy Union (Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre) retain against Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill.

Mixed Tag Team Match Winners: Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley defeat Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio.

    Strap Match:
Winner: CM Punk defeats Drew McIntyre.

    Undisputed WWE Championship:
Winner: Cody Rhodes defeats Kevin Owens.

    World Heavyweight Championship:
    Winner: Gunther defeats Randy Orton

This weekend, WWE is presenting Bash in Berlin, marking the 6th international premium live event of the year. I'm really enjoying WWE's strategy of shorter cards with more focused builds. Each match is given the time to develop, letting the stars shine brighter in their respective feuds. Another benefit of these smaller PLE cards is that it leaves room on both Raw and SmackDown for mid-card talent to get more in-depth television feuds, building towards future PLE cards.

The Bash in Berlin card is yet another example of this thoughtful build. The only match that had me puzzled initially was Gunther vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship. That was until I remembered that Randy Orton wasn’t exactly pinned by Gunther at King of the Ring. This is long-term storytelling at its finest, folks, and I’m all in for it.

So, let's dive into my predictions. And by the way, I went 7-0 with my SummerSlam picks—I told y’all, I’m the guy to come to for predictions!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Unholy Union vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill

Will Bianca and Jade stay united or will a new rivalry emerge?Photo bywwe.com

We’ve only recently started seeing Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre on TV since they won the Women’s Tag Team Championships at Clash at the Castle. My guess? WWE has been preserving them for this rematch. I keep anticipating a heel turn from Jade Cargill on Bianca Belair, but I also believe that a Jade vs. Bianca feud is WrestleMania-worthy. Therefore, I don't think the turn will happen just yet. A loss here could start planting the seeds for that eventual betrayal. With the women’s tag division heating up, I predict Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre will retain.

Mixed Tag Team Match: Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio vs. Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley

This rivalry has been both predictable and fun, but honestly, it’s been a breath of fresh air on Raw. I’m loving the ’90s teen drama vibe mixed with traditional WWE betrayal stories. Damian and Rhea are killing it as the terror twins. I don’t think Liv and Dominik need to win this match to keep their heat—people don’t like them regardless. Also, shoutout to Liv Morgan, who’s done a fantastic job holding the Women’s Championship. She’s been great in the ring and for storyline drama. I believe Damian and Rhea will take this match, further solidifying their face status on Raw.

Strap Match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

Let me just say, I’m happy Seth Rollins has been taken out of this rivalry. Don’t get me wrong, I love Seth, but his antics just didn’t fit the reality-intense vibe of this feud. This match allows Punk to get his bracelet back from Drew and pushes the story forward into Bad Blood. I predict CM Punk will win this round of the rivalry.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens—an unexpected clash with major implications. Will this be the start of Kevin’s full heel turn?Photo bywwe.com

I wasn’t thrilled with how this match came together, although I do expect a full Kevin Owens heel turn soon. I even took it upon myself to scour the SmackDown roster to see who else Cody Rhodes could have faced as a filler opponent until we eventually get to Cody vs. The Rock or Cody vs. Roman Reigns 3. I turned up with nothing, which made me realize SmackDown needs to start building more heels to face Cody soon. Kevin Owens will likely turn full heel on Cody after this match, leading them to Bad Blood. I predict Cody Rhodes will win this one.

World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther vs. Randy Orton

Long-term storytelling meets high stakes. My prediction for Gunther vs. Randy OrtonPhoto bywwe.com

I’m excited about this match because it’s built on long-term storytelling, and it’s a great first rivalry for Gunther after winning the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. We got here because Randy Orton challenged Gunther after his King of the Ring win, where he became the #1 contender for the heavyweight title. Orton’s shoulders weren’t fully on the mat when the referee counted to three, so here we are. I predict Gunther will win this match and officially kick off a monumental title reign.

To wrap it up, Bash in Berlin promises to be another intense chapter in WWE’s incredible 2024 lineup of premium live events. With long-term storytelling, high-stakes matches, and rising stars, this card is set to deliver in a big way. As always, I’m confident in my picks—just like I was at SummerSlam when I went a perfect 7-0. If you’ve been following my predictions, you know I’ve got the insight to call these matches right. Let’s see how it all unfolds this weekend, and remember, when it comes to WWE predictions, I’m the one to watch.
