OAK HARBOR, Ohio — A reward of $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for an arson fire that destroyed a Carroll Township home.

Early in the morning of July 12, the Carroll Township Fire Department and other area agencies responded to 6636 N. Parkway Rd. to investigate a report of a house fire. Crews found the structure engulfed in flames. The house was vacant at the time and was a total loss. No one was injured.

The state fire marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigations Bureau determined the fire was intentionally set. The fire marshal is seeking tips from the public to help identify those responsible, including four people of interest captured on security cameras near the scene.

Images show four people in the area at the time of the fire on a red and tan golf cart. Investigators are interested in speaking with those people regarding this fire.

The $5,000 reward is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Anyone with information is urged to contact the fire marshal’s tip line at 800-589-2728. Callers can remain anonymous, and all tips will be thoroughly investigated.
