She graduated Solomon High School in 1988. She then pursued a nursing degree at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina and graduated with honors. Donna embarked on a remarkable career, touching countless lives with compassion and skill. Thereafter, Donna pursued diverse careers, each one a testament to her determination. Donna welcomed her first child into the world in 1985. Donna then married David Montgomery and welcomed three children and later divorced. Donna later met the love of her life, Cory Bonneau and married October 3rd, 2008. They shared 16 wonderful years and many memories together. Donna’s deep-seated passion for caring for others was evident in every aspect of her life, touching hearts and making a difference wherever she went. Donna’s children and grandchildren were the heartbeats of her world, filling her life with boundless love and joy. She loved traveling, music, cooking, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and had a love for all animals, but especially her cats.

DUI, Stolen Property Charges
A DUI investigation turns into an arrest for a stolen vehicle. According to Salina Police Captain Jim Feldman, 39-year-old Nicole Hoffschneider of Bennington was taken into custody on Saturday after she allegedly lost control of a 1997 Ram pickup and ran over a stump and across a yard at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Guernsey Drive.
One Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Ottawa County
The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash south of Minneapolis on Sunday, July 7th. According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2023 Toyota Camry driven by 57-year-old Bridget Jeannette Omotosho of Fort Worth, Texas, was traveling northbound in the driving lane of US Highway 81 around 10-miles south of Minneapolis.
History of Wakefield Museum
In 1974, in the midst of the flooding of Milford Lake, seven Wakefield women organized a project to protect and preserve Wakefield’s historical artifacts. Those women were Annetta Hayes, D. Lum, Evelyn Hawes, Gertrude Marshall, Betty Herman, Selma Brocker, and Marion Mason. Joy Shandy, the Wakefield Museum’s current Director, said that without their foresight, much of Wakefield’s history may have been lost to the floodwaters and time.
