The event was held at Bicentennial Park on Sunday and was in response to a rash of neo-Nazi marches and demonstrations, which included an attempted takeover at a Metro Council Meeting, and a fight just off Broadway that resulted in charges.

Man hit by car in Madison dies
MADISON, Tenn. -- A 48-year-old Nashville man is killed while crossing the road in the Madison area. The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, died after being hit by a car shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday night while crossing Gallatin Pike South at Walton Lane, said Metro Nashville police, who are working to notify next of kin.

On Friday (July 19), Jack White shared surprise copies of his unannounced new album with unsuspecting customers at his Third Man Records shops in Detroit, Nashville, and London. Music fans received vinyl test copies of White’s new record slipped into their bags after making a purchase at his three stores.
