CHICAGO (CBS) — Skies will turn cloudy in the Chicago area Saturday night as an upper-level system from Missouri heads toward the area. Rain showers will arrive Sunday morning. At onset, the rain showers will encounter the dry air mass, so scattered showers will increase through the morning. Tropical moisture will feed into the system by the afternoon, enhancing rain chances. Slow-moving tropical downpours are likely. There will also be a chance of isolated storms. 15 years for man who violently attacked and robbed 75-year-old woman on the NW Side
CHICAGO — A Cook County judge sentenced a man on Thursday to 15 years in prison for viciously attacking and robbing a 75-year-old woman outside a Portage Park grocery store. Oswaldo Garza, 47, was also accused of mugging a 79-year-old woman and an 85-year-old woman outside the same store in separate attacks, but prosecutors dropped those cases before trial, court records show.
Chicago man arrested in connection with Naperville shooting
A Chicago man is under arrest for a shooting in Naperville from April. Naperville Police allege 19-year-old Kanyon J. Hardy shot someone in the leg and stole cash from them on April 16th at a home in the 2500 block of Leach Drive. Hardy was picked up earlier this week on a warrant.
