FHP searching for drivers involved in I-4 hit-and-run crash that cause SUV to flip
ORLANDO, Fla. - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are searching for three individuals believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. Sunday at mile marker 67 on Interstate 4. Dashboard camera video shows a Chevrolet Camaro driving between two cars and slamming into the back of another vehicle, causing multiple vehicles to run off the roadway.

SALT Outreach shower and laundry services to continue in Orlando after large donation
ORLANDO, Fla. — An organization that provides services for homeless people in Orlando will continue those services uninterrupted after a major boost in funding. SALT CEO and Executive Director Eric Camarillo said in early July he had planned to suspend the nonprofit’s shower and laundry services, but while working to raise about half a million dollars, SALT got a $300,000 donation from Big Nova Foundation — enough to keep its services going.
New cooling center in Orlando to help people during extreme heat
The City of Orlando opened a new cooling center Monday to help vulnerable populations find relief from the heat. The city partnered with First United Methodist Church of Orlando on 142 East Jackson St. to offer a safe place for people to cool off and stay hydrated. The services include free, public air-conditioned space, restrooms, disability access, seating areas, and drinking water.
