A remembrance blood drive for Renea Lowe will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Emory Valley Center, 723 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge.

Lowe was the sister of Emory Valley Center employee Elizabeth Hawkins, The Oak Ridger reported earlier this year. She died on Feb. 5, according to the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home website. The Clinton resident had a rare blood condition that required a few pints of blood per week, Aaron Price, the center's development director told The Oak Ridger in January when a blood drive was scheduled for her benefit.

People donating blood to Medic Regional Blood Center through this blood drive July 31 will receive a free ticket to the Anakeesta attraction in Gatlinburg.
