An Independence Day fireworks display in a Chicago suburb ended early Wednesday night due to an unspecified malfunction, authorities said. Will County Coroner Identifies Man Found Dead In Pump House
At 6:47 on Tuesday night, Joliet police and the Joliet Fire Department responded to the US Steel property at 941 Collins Street for a report of a body found. Police entered a pump house which had flooded with water and located a deceased adult male floating in approximately four to five feet of water. It appeared the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition.

The second floor of Madison School offers a great perspective on work taking place on a three-story, two-classroom addition that is part of a $19.2 million construction project to allow District 181 to offer full-day kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Playground improvements also are taking place at Madison as part of the district's summer improvement projects. Hinsdale pool a pretty cool place to be
By mid-afternoon Tuesday, it was hard to believe rainy, gloomy weather had caused the Hinsdale Community Pool to close earlier that day. The sun was shining from a brilliant blue sky adorned with fluffy white clouds. The crowd might have been smaller than usual, but there are still plenty of patrons - adults swimming laps, playing with their kids in the water or reading a book in the shade of one of the large umbrellas. Two-year-old Millie Jane Muskievicz was participating enthusiastically in her private swim lesson with instructor Finn Hamman, a rising junior at Hinsdale Central.
