A prescribed pasture burn is tentatively scheduled through Wednesday, near the intersection of Driver Valley Road and Old Pioneer Road in the Oakland area. Douglas Forest Protective Association Public Information Officer Rachel Pope said a blanket permit has been issued. Pope said smoke may be visible in the area from 10:00 a.m. until the end of each day.

ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MEN FOR THEFT DUE TO SHOPPING CARTS
Roseburg Police cited two men for theft for incidents involving shopping carts on Monday. An RPD report said at 9:30 a.m. a 54-year-old was contacted at his camp at the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Fulton Street. The camp had trash scattered all around it and there were two shopping carts there. An officer had previously warned the man that he would be cited for theft, if he was contacted with a cart. He was cited for second-degree theft and offensive littering and was released on the scene. The carts were released to the store that owned them.

ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN AFTER DUII CRASH
Roseburg Police jailed a woman after a DUII crash on Monday. An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers responded to a crash on the Washington Street Bridge in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. A sedan rear-ended an SUV, which struck a second SUV. The 58-year-old driver who caused the accident was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. Officers contacted the woman at the hospital. The woman said she fell asleep while driving because had just taken Methadone and it usually makes her drowsy.
