A vehicle pulled from the Allegheny River in Oakmont over the weekend belongs to Janet Walsh, a Shaler woman missing almost five years.

Allegheny County Police say human remains were found inside the Chevy Trax pulled from the river near California Avenue in Oakmont around 5:15 Sunday night.

The remains have yet to be identified by Medical Examiner.

Walsh was 70 at the time she disappeared in January 2020.

She was supposed to meet her daughter for dinner.

Walsh's cell phone was found at her home, but her silver Chevy Trax was missing.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the body and determine the cause and manner of death.
