New Marquette Park basketball courts bring more hoops to south St. Louis
South St. Louis residents who like basketball now have another option in their part of the city where they can play the game. The city unveiled two new courts at Marquette Park in Dutchtown on Thursday morning along with a couple of pickleball courts. Battlehawks pick up Cody Schrader in UFL Draft

ST. LOUIS — A new Mizzou-themed sports bar has plans to open at the former site of Llywelyn's Pub in Soulard. Ray’s SportsHouse expects to open in early to mid-August at 1732 S. Ninth St. The new restaurant is owned by Corbin Ray, a 2021 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will host a class of 2026 athlete on campus next month. Keenan Harris is scheduled to visit the Lincoln campus the weekend of July 26-28. Harris is a four-star prospect for Saint Louis University High in St. Louis, MO. Last season, he appeared in ten games, recording 95 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack. Maryville University Athletics The Maryville University Department of Athletics announced that Cardy Wilson has joined the Saints wrestling staff as an assistant coach. He comes to the Saints after a standout Division I career at SIU Edwardsville. As a senior, Wilson was named a NWCA Scholar All-American and earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference Scholar honors.
