Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre’s Green Afternoon
Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre presents its eleventh engagement of Green Afternoon on Saturday, July 13, at 5 PM in a unique garden setting in East Hampton. Green Afternoon XI offers an immersive outdoor performance, including movement installations in the various outdoor “rooms” throughout the property, followed by a seated performance on the great lawn of Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre’s recent World Premiere: “Habit Formed.” “Habit Formed” is an evening-length work that explores how habits are created and broken in our lives. These habits manifest strength, ease, and freedom and create limits, boundaries, and affliction. The ultimate journey of the work tells a story of discernment, unpacking how we can be empowered by our habits and not impaired by them.

Aaron Boone’s pathetic Trent Grisham defense is final indictment of modern Yankees
For the majority of their history, but more specifically the 1990s and early 2000s, the Yankees' calling card was that they would always be crisp at the margins, efficiently outworking their opponents until they were worn down and ready to surrender. 3-2 games became 8-2. Tight contests became Mariano Rivera's canvasses. The Red Sox, especially in the late '90s and beginning of the next decade, were hustle-fueled, but ragged. Sure, they would overcome the Yankees occasionally, but when important games arrived, New York would always be better prepared.

Yankees outfielder booed for ‘sleeping’ on play: ‘Should be cut immediately’
The New York Yankees’ struggles seemed to reach a new low Thursday with a lack of effort on a routine play. With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, Cincinnati Reds DH Jeimer Candelario knocked a 1-1 pitch from Yankees reliever Caleb Ferguson up the middle and into center field. What should have been a single turned into a two-base play when outfielder Trent Grisham lazily approached the ball with one hand and then fumbled it, allowing a hustling Candelario to reach second on the error.
