Jackspot , located at 306 Dorchester St. in downtown Ocean City at what was once The Marina Deck, celebrated its official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with family, friends and spectacular sunset views on the bay on Friday, June 21.
"Huge thank you to all the friends and family who came and supported Jackspot yesterday! We can’t wait to see you all again!" the restaurant said in a June 22 Facebook post.
Jackspot offers cold drinks, small bites and live entertainment seven days a week. The two-story restaurant, which features a rooftop bar and beach-life atmosphere, is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.

Coastal Creations
7805 Coastal Hwy Unit B
Coastal Creations , located at 7805 Coastal Highway Unit B in Ocean City, is set to close. Multiple "For Sale" signs, as well as one lightbox business sign reading, "Restaurant 4sale 4lease," can be seen on the property.
Coastal Creations sits next to K-Coast Surf Shop. The local restaurant, which offers both indoor and outdoor seating as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner options, initially opened for business in August 2023.

Berlin
Berlin Beer Company

A brand-new brewery is coming soon to the small town of Berlin. Berlin Beer Company, soon-to-be located at 115 Broad St., shared its plans to open this summer season.
Berlin Beer Company passed its Maryland State Alcohol, Tobacco and Cannabis Commission inspection in May. Now, the brewery is hiring for all positions: brewers, assistant brewers, bartenders, servers, hostesses, line cooks and dishwashers.
"We're thrilled to be yet another step closer to opening our doors to serve you all!" Berlin Beer Company said online. Until then, the brewery can be found at the Berlin Farmer's Market.

Salisbury
Rosenfeld's Jewish Delicatessen

Rosenfeld's Jewish Delicatessen , owned by Warren Rosenfeld, is coming to Salisbury this fall. Rosenfeld's said it hopes to open its new location by mid-October, following the upcoming closure of its Ocean City location at the end of the summer season.
"We’ll have the same menu you’ve grown to love, and many familiar faces on staff. So, please plan on visiting," the deli said in a July 23 Facebook post. "We’re excited, and we hope that you are too. Hello, Salisbury!"
The deli will be located at 923 Mount Hermon Road in the same shopping center as Salisbury's former Goin' Nuts Café, which closed permanently on June 4, 2024. However, the deli made sure to note that it will not be taking the café's vacant space.

Plaza Tapatia
7456 Gumboro Rd
Plaza Tapatia is now open for business at 7456 Gumboro Road in Pittsville. The restaurant has replaced the former Boxcar40 which, due to an array of unforeseen circumstances , closed permanently as of April 27, 2024.
According to its official website, "Plaza Tapatia was founded on February 5, 1982. It is located in the center of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico's second capitol. Guadalajara is the birthplace of Mexico's mariachi bands."
Plaza Tapatia offers a wide selection of authentic Mexican dishes, including burritos, enchiladas, tostadas, fajitas and more. This is the Mexican restaurant's fifth location to open in the state of Maryland.

Bethany Beach
Clove & Cedar Coffeebar

Clove & Cedar Coffeebar celebrated its official grand opening with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at its brand-new Bethany Beach location on Friday, June 28. The new grab-and-go coffeebar, a family-owned business formerly of Bethesda, Maryland, can be found at 759-C Garfield Parkway.
Clove & Cedar Coffeebar offers regionally sourced specialty coffee and tea, as well as local baked goods from Kristina’s Cakery and Old World Breads. The coffeebar is focused on community involvement and will be donating a portion of sales to Operation SEAs the Day and the Delaware Botanic Gardens.
