Motorcyclist, 31, dies a day after crash with minivan on Staten Island, says NYPD
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A man who was seriously injured in a Saturday night crash on Hylan Boulevard has died, according to authorities. James Barry, 31, died a day after his motorcycle was in a crash involving a minivan near Hylan and Dongan Hills Avenue around 10 p.m. on Saturday night, the NYPD told the Staten Island Advance/SILive.com.
Two Tractor-Trailers Crash and Catch Fire in on NJ Turnpike in Monroe Township
MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MIDDLESEX)–New Jersey State Police, Sgt. Charles Marchan, told MidJersey.news that Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 12:47 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike North, milepost 73, Monroe, Middlesex County, Saturday July 20, 2024. Based on a preliminary investigation, two tractor-trailers were traveling north when they were involved in a collision. After the collision, one of the tractors began to catch on fire. No injuries were reported on scene. The crash remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.

Rahway PD Announces NJ Transit Suspension
RAHWAY, NJ — The Rahway Police Department announced, at approximately 5:10 p.m., on Sunday, July 21, that NJ Transit service is suspended from Newark to Metro Park due to lines down on the tracks. NJ man admits to causing older bicyclist’s death at Jersey Shore
A Seaside Heights man has admitted to causing the death of an older local man, who was knocked from his bicycle last year. On Monday, 41-year-old Anthony Collins pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of 70-year-old Robert May, also of Seaside Heights, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced.
Bayonne Firefighters Rescue Workers from Vacant Home
BAYONNE, NJ - Three workers were rescued from inside a vacant home last week, Bayonne Fire Chief Keith Weaver reported. Firefighters faced heavy smoke coming from the attic area of a one and half story home at 5 Pavonia Court when they arrived there at 4:57 p.m. on Thursday after reports of a structure fire.
