Registration now open for annual 10K Bay Bridge Run set for Nov. 10
Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. (CSE) will once again facilitate the event across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge open to walkers and runners alike. Last year was Corrigan Sports third year running the event with over 17,000 reported participants, according to County Administrator Todd Mohn. Maryland woman, dual organ donor advocates for bill to give tax break to donors
A Maryland woman is advocating for a bill aimed at increasing the number of live organ donors. Lindsay Gutierrez, originally from Oklahoma, served in security forces for the U.S. Air Force from 2010 to 2016. After tours alongside her husband in both England and Georgia, she was transferred to Maryland to work with the Department of Defense. She currently lives in Ellicott City.

Maryland hospitals take preventative measures, courts close over Microsoft outage
BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Judiciary closed all courts to the public Friday, except for emergencies, due to a Microsoft outage that has crippled systems worldwide. Hospitals are also among the systems impacted. The issue was caused by a technical problem that global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said it had identified in its software and was working to resolve, CBS News reports. Blue Water Baltimore Gives Update on Local Waterways
Blue Water Baltimore announced that its team collected tidal water samples around the area. Here is their report:. “With restrictions surrounding the Key Bridge lifted, we are able to anchor off of Fort Carroll and begin sample collection for the 2024 season.
