    PERMIAN BASIN (KMID/KPEJ) – Here are the top stories from around the Basin for the week ending on July 12.

    Two men were arrested on Wednesday after investigators said they allegedly sold fake drugs to undercover officers before attempting to evade arrest by having a friend make a false 911 call to report an emergency at Music City Mall. Both men are now facing Unlawful Delivery or Manufacture with Intent to Deliver a Simulated Controlled Substance, among other charges. You can learn more here .

    A man was arrested in Midland after he allegedly went into a store and pulled out a gun, in an attempt to take money from the register, but instead robbing two $5 drinks. You can learn more about this situation here.
