Local man arrested on multiple charges
On Monday morning July 1, 2024, at about 1:15 a.m., Danville Police Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at S. Gilbert and 2 nd Streets because an officer witnessed a traffic violation. The Driver initially refused to stop but finally complied with officers in the area of 9 th Street and Highland Park Blvd pulling into a parking lot. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was identified as 39-year-old Bryce Ross of Danville. During the stop and investigation officers located evidence that led to Ross being arrested for criminal charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude an Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Driving While License Suspended/Revoked, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
