Storm reports: Nine confirmed tornadoes from July 15 derecho
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Severe storms blasted through central Illinois on July 15, bringing widespread damaging wind, heavy rain and tornadoes to the region. Observed thunderstorm winds reached over 100 mph in a few locations, both a result of straight-line winds and tornadoes. Outside of tornadoes, most areas experienced wind gusts 60 to 80 mph which resulted in numerous trees and power lines being damaged across the region.

Illinois Basketball: Tomislav Ivisic Arrives on Campus
Illinois basketball’s roster has now fully arrived on campus. Per his Instagram page, big man Tomislav Ivisic has officially arrived at the Illinois campus. After an extended wait with the entire process that is required for an overseas citizen to arrive at a college campus, Ivisic completes the Illini’s roster. He will now immediately join team activities and hopefully be up to speed by the time the fall rolls around. The Croatian big man initially committed to the Illini on May 6th, shortly after assistant coach Orlando Antigua returned to Champaign.
