Former Holley student was the victim of deadly Ogden crash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One driver was killed in a car crash on Rt. 531 Tuesday morning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said two cars were heading east when they collided, causing one to go off the south side of the road. The second vehicle crossed the median into the westbound lane and crashed into a pickup truck.

The driver who crashed into the pick-up truck was killed. The driver has been identified as 18-year-old Angelena Golisano.

The area around the crash was closed for a period of time, but it has since re-opened.

Golisano is a former student of the Holley Central School District. The district released a statement Wednesday morning on its website:

“Dear Holley School Community,

It is with sadness that we inform you of a recent loss to the Holley school community.  On July 23, former Holley student Angelena Golisano lost her life in an automobile accident. Our thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

Holley CSD is here to support students, staff and families as they navigate this tragic loss. Our counselors are available to assist with processing grief. They will be available Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Holley Middle School/High School Library.
