Gadsden City football four-star Alabama and Auburn target Zyan Gibson updates recruitment
Gadsden City's Zyan Gibson has burst onto the recruiting scene last spring and this summer, garnering offers from some of the top schools in the country. The Class of 2026 defensive back has an offer sheet headlined by SEC and in-state giants Alabama and Auburn. Tennessee, Texas A&M, Miami, Georgia, LSU, defending champions Michigan and other power conference offers have joined the list. He has earned a four-star rating from 247 Sports and is the third ranked cornerback in the class.
Jacksonville Cheerleading now under direction of Lauren Carlson
The Jacksonville High School cheerleading squads have a new leader. Lauren Carlson, a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas, has been named director of the schools 25-member varsity squad and the 10-member junior varsity team. Carlson, who is from Fate, Texas (about five miles southwest of Royse City), brings a wealth of cheerleading experience, both as an actual cheerleader and as a high-level instructor, to Jacksonville.
