Old Forge Library presents Ann Carey in concert
OLD FORGE — The Music in the Gazebo Series continues at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 with a concert featuring vocalist Ann Carey at the Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd. Carey has been seen in central New York bands since the late 1970s, morphing herself into whatever the “music flavor of the month” was, in the bands Steppin’ Out, Blue Steel, Ted Radley and Co., and Puttin’ on the Ritz. Her partner from her latest endeavor with the duo Nook n’ Crannie has moved out of state, so she is now venturing out solo, matching her favorite tunes in a bare bones style with her baritone ukulele. Expect to hear an eclectic mix of singer-songwriter tunes by Townes Vans Zant, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt and Nora Jones, with a few surprises.
