When Jake Diebler took over the Ohio State men’s basketball program, one of his main focuses was to keep some of the best Ohioans from leaving the state. You can say part of his mission was accomplished on Monday afternoon, as the Buckeyes accepted a commitment from Cleveland shooting guard Dorian Jones. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 160-pound scorer is the first 2025 commitment for Ohio State and the second in-state player to verbal to Diebler following fellow Cleveland native Marcus Johnson in the 2026 class.

Health officials have suspended the license of Pierce County massage therapist Lukela Los Banos, the Washington Department of Health reported on Thursday. Los Banos allegedly placed suction cups on the back of a patient's legs on Sep. 23, 2023, and left the cups on their skin for around 40 minutes, the DOH reports. Barbara Hallick Yeomans made her remarks during public comment period of the City Council meeting. She said her son grapples with substance abuse and mental illness and repeatedly has been harassed by police. She said her son also suffered verbal abuse by a guard in the Denver County Jail. Yeomans said she heard the guard harassing her son over the phone.
