Canton, OH- The St. Louis Slam would not be denied after a late game surge from opponent Boston Renegades in the WFA Pro National Championship game coming out victorious in capturing the trophy 30-27.

The biggest part about winning the trophy this season was a revenge tour for the Slam, playing in last years National Championship game coming up short against the Renegades by the score of 35-7 making this victory bittersweet.

"Since last year when Boston beat us on this stage this has been the goal," said Kerri McMahan star wide receiver.

McMahan had a monster game on offense taking a 52 yarder to the house and another short touchdown reception and multiple catches in the game to cap off winning the prestigious Player of the Game.

Coach Quincy Davis was all smiles after capturing the coveted title, "We've always tried to stay not too high not too low," said Quincy Davis. He also spoke very high of his receiver Kerri McMahan, "She's amazing, rookie season last year but she been about it, she's been doing it she does it the right way."

Boston is no pushover team being in the National Championship game the last 5 seasons excluding the covid year in 2020, they have been very consistent averaging over 35 plus points in each of those victories, this wasn't an easy win by a long shot for the Slam after falling behind 14-0 early in the game.

They persevered and came out on top on the biggest stage playing in an NFL stadium and broadcast on national television (ESPN2), a stage I'm sure these women will remember for a lifetime, women's tackle football is here to stay with the way they play the game in a good competitiveness nature.
