PLAIN TWP, OH- If you hear the name 'Bo' Jackson it rings a bell, most would think of the Heisman Trophy winner, NFL and Major League Baseball player, unfortunately it's not but he plays just like him, he is senior Ohio State Football commit from Villa-Angela St. Joseph High School.

Lamar 'Bo' Jackson would have no problem displaying his talent in a season opener vs. Glenoak, helping his team walk off a 42-7 victory on the road.

Scoring his first touchdown in less than 30 seconds of the game, a 36 yard run to start off his evening of low but quality touches that would end up in the endzone on two more occasions, Jackson ended the game with 173 yards on 13 touches and 3 touchdowns, scoring all three in the first half of play.

"I was just coming out trying to be the aggressor making plays," Jackson said in a post game interview.

Villa-Angela offensive line deserved a lot of credit creating gaping holes for Jackson to run through, offensive lineman Robert Smith was the anchor, "Uh you know we just, we just opening the holes you know we down block we base block get three yards for Bo and he'll take it the rest," said Smith a Boston College commit.

Coach Jeff Rotsky had his insight on his teams performance on the night, "Welp I think we came out with a pretty good game plan with some of our big tight ends and not only be able to use them in the passing game but also in the running game," Rotsky said.

Glenoak had trouble moving the ball at times, not always having the best field position to work with despite the efforts of senior quarterback Adrion Burt who did the little things like extending plays, making solid throws alongside senior teammate Rome Cox who would score the only touchdown for Glenoak, with 0:09 left in the second quarter also adding a 48 yard run just plays before to set up the touchdown, but it just wasn't enough for the Eagles to come back from.

The single touchdown by Cox just held off a running clock sooner than later.

Next up for Jackson and Villa-Angela St. Joseph is Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, Glenoak will have a showdown with OHSAA Division II defending State Champion Massillon who is coming off a win over NFL Academy.
