Patriotic Paw Parade, fireworks in Meridian Twp.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — You can head on out to the Celebrate Meridian Festival today if you want to get a jump start on your holiday week of celebration.

From 4-9:30 p.m., children’s activities will include more than 10 inflatables, along with rides and games, at Central Park, 5151 Marsh Road, Okemos.

The “older” folks can enjoy canned beverages at Marketplace on the Green and Central Park Pavilion, 4-11 p.m. Food trucks and vendors will be on site between Marketplace on the Green and Central Park.

Don’t miss the Patriotic Paw Parade, which goes from 5-6 p.m. and starts at Marketplace on the Green.

And top it all off with the fireworks, starting at 10:15 p.m. You can see them from Marketplace on the Green.
