Independence Day celebrations around Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA ( KFOR ) — Needing plans for the Fourth of July? There are plenty of upcoming events planned from June 28 through July 6, around the Oklahoma City metro and Oklahoma.

Lawton-Fort Sill Freedom Festival

• WHEN : June 28 and June 29
• WHERE : Elmer Thomas Park — 3rd and NW Ferris Avenue Lawton, OK.
• EVENTS : Face painting, pony rides, bounce house, hotdog eating contest, soapbox derby races, food vendors, fireworks show and more.

Edmond LibertyFest

• WHEN: June 27 through July 4
• WHERE : Citywide, Edmond, OK.
• EVENTS :
  • June 27 at 7:30 p.m.: Concert in the Park at the University of Central Oklahoma.
  • June 28 and 29 at 8 p.m.: LibertyFest Rodeo at Carl Benne Arena.
  • June 29 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.: LibertyFest Car Show and ParkFest at Hafer Park.
  • June 30 at 8:30 a.m.: Libert Sprint at Mitch Park.
  • July 4 at 9 a.m.: LibertyFest Parade in downtown Edmond.
  • July 4 at 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks at Hafer Park.

Tulsa Folds of Honor

• WHEN : July 4
• WHERE : Tulsa River Parks — Tulsa, OK.
• EVENTS : Inflatables for kids, face painting, food and beverage vendors, old-fashioned family picnics and bicycle parade, patriotic music and fireworks.

Moore A Celebration in the Heartland

• WHEN : July 4
• WHERE : Buck Thomas Park — 1903 NE 12th Street Moore, OK.
• EVENTS : A variety of food trucks, local eateries, vendors and activities for all ages. Inflatables, mechanical bull, a children’s tent by the Moore Public Library, on-site helicopter rides and the grand finale fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.

Yukon Freedom Fest

• WHEN : July 3 and July 4
• WHERE : Yukon City Park and Chisholm Trail Park — 2200 S Holly Avenue Yukon, OK.
• EVENTS : Festival kicks off on Wednesday with a veteran’s tribute. On Thursday at Yukon City Park will be a children’s parade featuring creative and patriotic displays, car show, Pork at the Park backyard BBQ cookoff, food, live music, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and fireworks.

Stillwater Boomer Blast

• WHEN : July 4
• WHERE : Boomer Lake Park — 2310 E Lakeview Road Stillwater, OK.
• EVENTS : Local vendors, food trucks, music and fireworks.
