HAVE YOU HURD

Free street festival Heard on Hurd returns from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Hurd and Main St. in downtown Edmond. The evening includes live music from Hosty, Chris Jones and the Flycatchers and Sorry Darlin’, as well as almost 70 pop-up shops and local food vendors. PET SOUNDS

Be Your Own Pet will be in concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Resonant Head, 400 SW 25th St. The band’s 2006 self-titled debut album and its followup received critical acclaim, but the band disbanded in 2008, reuniting to tour with Jack White in 2022 and releasing a new album, “Mommy,” in 2023 via Third Man Records. BLACK OUT

The Shrine, 112 E 18th St., hosts An Evening with Black Flag at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The legendary punk band formed in California in the late 1970s, and guitarist and songwriter Greg Ginn remains a member to this day. HOME AWAY

“HOME1947” by Pakistan-born artist Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy closes its run at Oklahoma Contemporary, 11 NW 11th St., at 6 p.m. Monday. The exhibit explores the lives and stories of displaced people during the creation of India and Pakistan in 1947 as two independent nation-states. The artist is an Academy and Emmy Award winner and a former co-chair of the World Economic Forum. The museum is free and open to the public.
