OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Nikki Lippold was watching TV around 10 p.m. Sunday night when she noticed police lights flashing outside her window.

She lives on S. Lindsay Ave., near SE 62nd St. and S Shields Blvd.

“It was a madhouse. There were probably a half a dozen, at least a half a dozen police cars here,” said Lippold. “I came out to see what was going on and some neighbors were out.”

She quickly learned there was a murder investigation happening just a few houses up the street.

According to OKCPD, Gary Westrick was visiting Tony Servantes and a woman who also lives there.

“All three know each other and had been spending time together during the evening when, for whatever reason, one of them became upset and retrieved a firearm and shot the other, killing him,” said Mgst. Gary Knight with OKCPD.

Westrick died at the scene. He was 33-years-old.

This marks the fourth homicide in Oklahoma City in just the last week.

“I’ve been here almost 30 years now, and it’s really been a quiet neighborhood,” said Lippold. “We were a little upset about it.”

Servantes was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. He’s facing a first degree murder charge.

It’s not clear what exactly prompted the gunfire.

Police said it’s still early in the investigation. They’re asking anyone with information regarding this case to call the Homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200.
