Bullock gave his presentation “Genetic Improvement Programs in the Fescue Belt: Do Incentives Raise the Bar or Just the Price?” during the Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) Symposium June 11 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Columbia Police Names Officer of the Month for June 2024
Chief Jeremy Alsup awarded Officer Billy Hughes with Officer of the Month of June 2024. On June 18th, 2024, Ofc. Billy Hughes responded to Granada Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle. During his investigation, Ofc. Billy Hughes spoke with a witness that saw the offender driving the vehicle traveling on Santa Fe Pike. Officer Hughes gathered a physical description of the suspect, including the clothing the suspect was wearing.
Worker Dies in Smyrna Construction Accident
SMYRNA, TN - A man was killed in Smyrna on Thursday morning during a work-related incident. The situation unfolded at around 11:15 AM. Public Information Officer Heather Kent told WGNS, “…the Smyrna Police Department responded to a workplace accident at a construction site on Rocky Fork Almaville Road at Kedron Church Road in Smyrna. One worker was involved in the accident, and he died from his injuries.”
‘Who did it?’ Girlfriend asks after gunfire kills McGavock High School student
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The girlfriend of a McGavock High School student who was shot and killed Friday is pleading for justice as police search for the suspects. Kylee Harter said her 17-year-old boyfriend, Caleb Womack, was killed at his home in Old Hickory. Police said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on Bryan Street.
