Public works department employee termination decided at Lone Star city council meeting
, The Lone Star city council and Mayor Brianna McClain made the decision to terminate the public works department employee Gatlin Moore during their meeting on Thursday, July 18. Mayor McClain told the Bee that Moore has been with the city for about two and a half years and explained that “a lack of leadership and work performance is what ultimately resulted in this termination.” Besides Moore’s termination on the agenda, several items were discussed in length,with a number of them passing. They are as follows: • Renewal of 90-day wastewater contract with Charles Riley • Interlocal agreement with TML for cyber liability coverage • EDC renewal for Rudy Dudley to the Texas EDC membership • EDC to pay bill to Bowle and Lowery • Allocating funds to the Back to School back scheduled for August 3rd in City Park
