OMRO – Two suspects in the shooting of a 65-year-old Omro man were arrested July 15 after what police described as a multi-jurisdictional car chase.

A 45-year-old Milwaukee man and a 27-year-old Green Bay woman are in police custody after a shooting took place on East Main Street involving the sale of a car.

The victim is in the hospital and their injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.

According to the Omro Police Department, officers responded to “a disturbance with a weapon” on East Main Street around 7:18 p.m. Monday after the suspects already fled the scene.

Police said the suspects were responding to an ad the victim placed on Facebook Marketplace about selling a car.

An altercation quickly ensued, and one of the suspects produced a firearm before the victim sustained a gunshot wound and other injuries over a subsequent struggle over the weapon.

Law enforcement eventually tracked down the suspects in a vehicle before engaging in a multi-jurisdictional car chase.
