The Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Bulls will be undergoing a major change following the 2024 baseball season. With the regional rights for NBC expiring in the market, the teams have collaborated to create Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), which will launch in October. As a result, the current staff of TV personalities at NBC Sports Chicago could change with the new channel in town.

However, one personality is confirmed to remain in their role with CHSN. Per Scott Powers of The Athletic , Pat Boyle will continue to serve as the Blackhawks' studio host as he returns for his 13th season as the in-studio.

The beloved broadcaster himself later confirmed Powers' report on X.

Having spent over 20 years covering the Blackhawks with then-Comcast SportsNet and now NBC Sports Chicago, Boyle has become synonymous with Chicago hockey. For many Blackhawks fans, the confirmation of Boyle's return is a welcome development as the team moves to the new network.

As indicated by Powers, more hires are expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks. Likely options to continue their work with the newly-formed CHSN include Caley Chelios and Chris Chelios. Other names may be added or subtracted from last season. Additionally, the already-announced changes in the broadcast booth will create a new feel as Rick Ball takes over for Chris Vosters on the play-by-play duties.
