Orlando (Fla.) Orlando Christian Prep three-star offensive tackle Demetrius Campbell may have had one of his most eventful summers of his life after committing to Miami , but his head coach has no doubt the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle is locked in ahead of his senior season.

Orlando Christian Prep head coach Guerschom Demosthenes said Campbell’s confidence only rose this summer through offseason workouts and communication with college coaches, so Campbell’s senior season should be about proving what he’s capable of.

And Demosthenes knows he’s capable of a lot.

“He knows that this is the season, this year going into his senior year, this is the season to dominate,” Demosthenes said. “Let’s just show why you’re an ACC football player, right? So he knows what’s at stake. He’s becoming a team leader, more vocal and just taking charge of the team. His work ethic is unmatched. He works extremely hard. He’s a captain of the football team. So all of those things you’re looking for as a head football coach out of a young man is exactly what he’s exhibiting right now.”

Demosthenes said Campbell is now bench pressing and squatting over 300 pounds on each, although he said he also thinks Campbell is far more polished now than he was this time last year. Campbell’s footwork always set him apart as a prospect, Demosthenes said, and only improved through offseason workouts. So Demosthenes wants to see Campbell separate himself from the rest of the country’s high school football players.

“Here’s the deal, right? He’s a three star right now, and plain and simple, he needs to play like a five star,” Demosthenes said. “Period. He needs to separate himself from the country’s competition. Anyone that lines up in front of him, he needs to completely dominate. That’s what we’re looking for, plain and simple, is to dominate the guy in front of you. Let them know why you’re an ACC football player.”

Demosthenes said Campbell will “major in” offensive tackle this fall with a “minor” in defensive tackle, although he also believes Campbell could fit well at guard at Miami. Demosthenes said he can envision Campbell playing either position at the college level thanks to his strength and size.

    CaneSport’s Take

Miami feels very good about its 2025 offensive line group, which also includes two four-star interior linemen ( Max Buchanan and SJ Alofaituli ) and a pair of three-star commits in TK Muex and Jaden Wilkerson , but I think Campbell could be the sleeper of the group.
