    WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

It starts with a couple of interesting columns looking ahead to the huge season-opening matchup with the Florida Gators which is … gasp … just 11 days away. We take a deeper dive into Cam Ward vs. the Florida secondary … as perhaps a big mismatch in Miami’s favor. And then we also point out in a different column that while perhaps Ward is expected to do the heavy lifting, it really rests on the trenches to set the tone for this team.

    In recruiting?

    Plenty more updates for you.

It starts with our latest Inside The Lines feature with Bryce Fitzgerald. Learn more about the recent Miami commitment.

And another recent commit. Mykah Newton, has his coach weigh in on just what Miami’s landed there. Another commit we have an update on? That’s with Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna three-star defensive tackle Donta Simpson. He flipped from Maryland to the Canes a few weeks ago, but two programs are still pursuing the local defensive star. Find out if they are gaining any traction.

Also don’t miss our update with Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna top-35 receiver Jabari Brady, who could commit sooner rather than later.

Plus we catch up with 2027 defensive back Zayden Gamble, who is becoming a name to know in South Florida at powerhouse Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas. He already has more than 15 offers, including one from the Miami Hurricanes.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

I just don’t see the gators winning or close to winning this game … Posted by MIA6CANE

    Just gonna keep it 100

That’s why I put $1500 on the Canes

If your offensive line sucks it is really hard to be successful in football where the DL is good

Also, our offense is built to sustain drives and score

“It feels great, and I can’t wait to be a Cane. It was really just how they recruited me and how hard they wanted me. They’ve shown it since day one, and I had to realize that.”
