After the Irish struck out on its 2025 wide receiver targets in the summer, it was well known that Notre Dame would add more pass catchers to its board. And the staff dished out two new scholarship offers Thursday night, plus one more on Friday morning.

And from what Blue & Gold is told, Notre Dame will has a very good chance with these players and plans to host both players this fall.

The Irish dished out an offer to Downey (Calif.) Warren’s Jace Brown , who ranks as the No. 573 overall player and No. 90 wide receiver in the country according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-2, 195-pounder is committed to UCLA.

Brown pledge to the Bruins July 4 over offers from Arizona, Utah, Minnesota, Washington State, Kansas and a few others. It won’t be easy to flip him from the local program; his high school quarterback, Madden Iamaleava , is committed to UCLA.

Last season for Warren High, Brown caught 46 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns. He averaged over 12 yards per catch.

Brown was a bit of a late riser on the recruiting trail, as his first offer came after his junior season. Former Irish receivers coach and current UNLV staffer Del Alexander extended offer No. 1 to Brown in January.

The Irish are also hoping to flip Cibolo (Texas) Steele’s Jalen Cooper , who ranks as the No. 267 overall player and No. 39 wide receiver in the nation according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Cooper has been committed to SMU since July 5.

On3 is an outlier in Cooper’s ranking. 247 Sports and Rivals view Cooper as a three-star prospect, and Rivals has him as a four-star player but outside their national rankings. Meanwhile, Cooper is On3’s No. 145 overall player and No. 19 wide receiver in the land.

Cooper held a handful of scholarship offers, including Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Boise State and others.

The 6-1, 160-pounder had a massive junior season. He helped Steele reach the Texas 6A D2 semifinals and caught 63 passes for 1,578 yards with 23 touchdowns.

Cooper reports that he earned the offer during a conversation from receivers coach Mike Brown and head coach Marcus Freeman .

On Friday morning, Greenville (Ga.) High’s Antavious Richardson, the No. 805 overall player and No. 42 “athlete” in America per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, announce that he added an offer from the Irish.

Richardson committed to the USF Bulls June 24, flipping his pledge from Georgia State. Mississippi State was pushing for Richardson in June and even hosted the 6-2, 170-pounder for an official visit, but USF pulled off the upset. However, other power conference programs have been pushing for Richardson; North Carolina and Duke both offered the three-star prospect this month.

Richardson is a sate champion in the 400-meter race and a do-it-all athlete for his high school team, which includes playing quarterback and returning kickoffs.

The Fighting Irish currently have two wide receivers committed in the 2025 class — Atlanta Woodward Academy’s Jerome Bettis Jr. and Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic’s Elijah Burress .
