Newsstand: Former Michigan RB Hassan Haskins picked up by Los Angeles Chargers, reunites with Jim Harbaugh

Former Michigan running back Hassan Haskins was cut this week by the Tennessee Titans. One day later, he was picked up by former U-M head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers off of waivers.

Haskins is entering his third season in the NFL. He’s rushed 25 times for 93 yards and caught 11 passes for 57 yards. He’s yet to score a touchdown.

Haskins is a Michigan legend, most famous for scoring 5 touchdowns in a 42-27 win over Ohio State in 2021, tying the Wolverines’ single-game all-time record. That season, Haskins racked up 1,327 rushing yards, 20 touchdowns and averaged 4.9 yards per carry.

The 2024-25 Michigan hockey Big Ten schedule has been released. The Wolverines have series against Notre Dame, Penn State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Michigan State. They’ll also take on the Spartans at the Duel in the D Feb. 8, 2025.

FOX analyst Joel Klatt states that Michigan’s 2023 national championship “is not even close to tainted.”
