Rome grapples with destruction as tornado leaves many homeless and uncertain
ROME, N.Y. — As the lights come back on and streets reopen in Rome, some neighbors are left without a place to call home after Tuesday’s tornado. Many residential streets in the city – which is home to approximately 32,000 people – were devastated, some more obviously than others. Code enforcement is still in the process of going door to door to determine how many houses are no longer safe to live in.
Anyone Can Now Park in the Oneida County Wynn Hospital Parking Garage
Well, it is finally finished and the day has come where the general public now has a better option for parking in Downtown Utica. MVHS and Wynn Hospital employees have already been allowed to park their vehicles in the newly constructed parking complex adjacent to the downtown health center campus, however the time has come for everyone to have their chance. Oneida County officials announced Friday that beginning on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 the parking garage will be open and available for the general public is now welcome.

UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — After a long building process, a new parking garage will finally be open in the City of Utica on Saturday, July 20.
