Swatzell Recommendation: ‘Parole Request Denied’
If a majority of the Tennessee Board of Parole agrees with the recommendation from last week’s hearing, convicted murderer Chad Swatzell will remain incarcerated. Attending the hearing and testifying to support Valerie Lindsey—daughter of Swatzell’s victim, Carolyn Kilpatrick, who was gunned down at her Highway 412 West Linden home in 1988—were former Sheriff Thomas Ward, Linden Mayor Wess Ward, and Sheriff Nick Weems, pictured moments after leaving the hearing where presiding Board member Robert Waggoner denied Swatzell’s parole request because of the “seriousness of the crime.”
