ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — An Ontario woman was charged with DWI for allegedly driving intoxicated with a child in the car.

Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle driving in the oncoming lane of traffic. They said they were able to stop the driver before she caused a head-on collision.

It was alleged that 30-year-old Katlynn Cleveland had her two-year-old son in the car while she was driving. Deputies said she was given a field sobriety test, which she failed. They add she refused to submit to a chemical test.

Cleveland was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI with a child passenger, driving while intoxicated common law, and several other vehicle and traffic violations. She was arraigned at the Wayne County Jail and is set to appear in the Town of Walworth court at a later date.
