On Sunday, Penn State’s Class of 2028 made its way to Rec Hall for the annual “Be A Part From The Start” pep rally. The newest group of Penn Staters learned different chants, how to get involved, and many of the traditions Penn State has to offer.

Students were welcomed with lots of energy, shakers, and, of course, t-shirts. Excitement brewed as their first weekend at Penn State came to end, with classes starting the next day.

Out first was the cheer team and the Lionettes to get the crowd jumping with routines that rocked Rec Hall while the Nittany Lion welcomed the Class of 2028 with 28 push-ups.

Many clubs and organizations were on hand to talk to freshmen about all the opportunities the new students have waiting for them and how they can get involved.

The football team, women’s and men’s basketball teams, and women’s ice hockey got everyone excited for their upcoming seasons with high expectations.

“We can’t hear you!” The Blue Band led the students in multiple chants and dances that students will be sure to use during the upcoming football games.

To end the night, the Class of 2028 joined together to sing the Alma Mater.
