The Kansas City Chiefs have released former Penn State linebacker Curtis Jacobs, the team announced Tuesday. Jacobs signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in April.

Jacobs burst onto the scene in his second season at Penn State where he recorded 61 total tackles, seven for a loss, three sacks, and an interception. In his four years with the Nittany Lions, Jacobs totaled 170 tackles, 24 for a loss, 9.5 sacks, five pass breakups, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and a touchdown in 45 games.

Jacobs is one of four Penn State rookies who were released Tuesday. Daequan Hardy , Keaton Ellis , and Kalen King also didn’t make a 53-man roster.
