LMFA Presents Blue Dog Exhibit in New Building
Longview Museum of Fine Arts (LMFA) is opening a new exhibition this fall, George Rodrigue: Painting for Myself. The show is the first in the former Longview National Bank building, now under renovations and operated by LMFA. Located at the corner of Fredonia and Methvin streets, the new space will be the largest fine arts museum in East Texas once completed.

LINDALE, Texas (KLTV) - The Lindale Eagles withstood a running attack by Hallsville’s Ja’Cayden Bolden to take their season opener, 35-27. With Hallsville down 7-0 late in the first quarter, Bolden took a handoff from the 10-yard line and run 90 yards, nearly untouched, for the touchdown to tie the game at 7.
Sabine takes road win over Spring Hill in 50-48 thriller
LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Sabine took a back-and-forth battle over Spring Hill, 50-48, in Week 1 action. Sabine trailed Spring Hill, 35-25, at the half. In the third play of the game, Sabine quarterback Colt Sparks faked a handoff and ran up the middle 63 yards to put the Cardinals up 8-0.
Alba-Golden gets road win over Overton, 17-12
OVERTON, Texas (KLTV) - The Alba-Golden Panthers won their opener on the road Friday night with a 17-12 win over Overton. At the half, Overton led Alba-Golden, 12-9. Overton took the lead with the first touchdown of the game in the first quarter when Jayden Edwards took a pass all the way to the end zone for a 6-0 lead.

Banana Slugs Shutout Tigers in Season Opener
MARSHALL, Tx. – The UC Santa Cruz women's soccer team earned a 3-0 victory over the ETBU Tigers on opening day in Texas. UC Santa Cruz had three difference goal scorers with Camille Anneet, Cassidy Segrell, and Tiana Stouch all finding the back of the net. Overall, the Banana Slugs outshot the Tigers 25-5 with a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. UCSC also earned an 8-2 advantage on corners.
