After recording nine kills through three sets in the United States’ gold medal contest, Franklin landed awkwardly on her left ankle during a block attempt. Despite the setback, she finished the tournament with 33 kills, four blocks, and two aces.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAW) - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters celebrated Independence Day with a victory on Thursday, taking down Madison 12-4 at Witter Field. The Mallards scored first in the first inning before adding another run in the second. From there, the Rafters took over. The Rafters scored their first run in the second before a third inning on a three-run home run by Max McGwire. Cashel Dugger picked up a homer of his own two innings later on a two-run bomb to make it 6-2.

MADISON, Wis. – Two divisions of singles players and doubles teams were crowned champions at the 2024 State Boys Tennis Tournament played at Nielsen Tennis Stadium Saturday. Junior CJ Kryscio of Menomonee Falls, the second seed, won the Division 1 singles championship with a 6-3, 6-7(5), 10-7 victory over eighth-seeded Nolan Shaub, a junior from Union Grove, in title match. Kryscio improved his record this season to 30-2 after advancing to the third round at State last season.
