2nd person dies in early morning house fire in Riverdale
RIVERDALE, Iowa (KWQC) - A second person has died following an early morning house fire in Riverdale Friday, Scott County sheriff’s deputies confirmed Saturday. The person has been identified as Bonita Grindle, 64. Deputies also identified a man killed in the fire as former Riverdale Mayor Jeffrey Grindle, 66.

Rock Island Fire Department appoints new deputy fire chief
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) -A new deputy fire chief has been appointed in Rock Island. Rock Island Fire Chief Bob Graff has appointed Fire Marshal Greg Marty to the position of Deputy Fire Chief, according to Rock Island city officials. Deputy Fire Chief Marty was appointed on Wednesday to replace Assistant Fire Chief Terry Smith, who retired on Wednesday. The position has been renamed to reflect the duties of the role.
