HR report comes to light; Marseilles Mayor asked to resign
Marseilles Mayor Jim Hollenbeck was asked to resign during Wednesday's regular Council meeting. During comments, resident Scott Ford passed out copies of a HR report questioning Hollenbeck's behavior – particularly an incident alleged to have occurred October 7, 2022. The report summarizes Hollenbeck's actions created a hostile work environment. Ford chastised Commissioner Bobby Kaminski for not going to bat for one employee who had complained about the Mayor.
