Jones receiver Larry Miles, who transferred from West Orange this summer, is a big reason why Jones is sitting at No. 1 in the Sentinel's Orlando area Super 16 Coaches Poll. Chris Hays/Orlando Sentinel/TNS

Despite not playing Friday night, Seminole took a tumble from the No. 2 spot in Week 2 of the Sentinel’s Orlando area Super 16 Coaches Poll .

The Seminoles dropped to No. 4. Tampa Robinson failed to make the trip to Sanford to play its scheduled game, citing transportation issues. That game will not be rescheduled. Edgewater and Lake Mary each moved up a spot, displacing Seminole.

It was a crazy opening night this past Friday as thunderstorms wreaked havoc and nearly every Orange County game was washed out.

Jones remained No. 1 by the coaches’ vote despite not playing its home game against Winter Park due to weather. Jones gained 19 first-place votes this week and was a near unanimous selection as the top team. The Tigers had 10 first-place votes last week.

The Winter Park-Jones game has not yet been rescheduled as the two teams jostle with possible dates. The most likely scenario will have both teams playing twice in one week, but that is still yet to be determined.

Osceola, which travels to Lake Mary on Friday night, comes in at No. 5. Bishop Moore is No. 6 off a come-from-behind win. The First Academy, which plays at Edgewater on Friday, is No. 7. Rounding out the top 10 are Orange City University, Dr. Phillips and Apopka.

Teams are listed with records and first-place votes in parentheses. Voting: 1st-place vote = 1 point, 2nd-place = 2 points, etc. There were 19 coaches participating this week, listed below. (Coaches cannot vote for their own team.)
